We had such a wonderful day at the O’Connor house on the main street in Deseronto! We were so delighted with this destination. Talk about a “hidden gem” in Deseronto. Who Knew?? Chef Mike and his team were amazing at this Old English Style Tea Room with an antique store attached. The tea room was a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy! Food and service were terrific, we can’t wait to go back! We have planned on going back during the Christmas Season for a “High Tea” and Christmas Carolling! Stay tuned!
Annual Motor Maids Visit and Ride at the Waterford!
We were so happy to welcome back the Motor Maids for our annual visit and ride. Residents had a chance to have a lovely visit with our “biker” friends and as always, they were delighted to provide staff and residents interested in a ride. A big thanks to Laurie and all of the other Motor Maids and also to Mike and Jane de Luht for all of their efforts in helping this annual event take place!
In August we held our Wonderful “Just Peachy Social”. Our kitchen again did a great job preparing some wonderful peachy treats and Mari offered up a wonderful “Peach Flambé” with ice Cream – a-la-minute! Tony Frazao entertained us with flare and it was a lovely introduction to our New General Manager Gary Smith and his wife Libby.
We had a wonderful ‘Olympic Season” here at the Waterford during the Rio 2016 Games! We had held our own versions of games that you might have seen in Rio! Competitors choose a country to represents and off to the races we went. The highlight of course was our Minnow races! Pictures sure are worth a thousand words!
