The Canadian Lung Association was here as part of their Annual Tulip campaign! Residents and Staff had an opportunity to purchase lovely Tulips and Ferns to help put a little “Spring in Their Step”, also they were helping a wonderful cause! Here is a note from the society:
I wanted to thank you all once again for making our 2017 Tulip Day Campaign a success! I have said it before but I will say it again – we cannot do this without your support! This was our best year ever and I can’t thank you enough. Without your help it would not be possible to reach our goal, which this year was set at $11,000 and we still have more coming in too!
Way to go Kingston! What a fabulous way to give back!
We had a wonderful jam packed day here on Feb. 14th. We started with our lovely Valentine’s Day tea where we featured the Game ” Guess That Bride”, we also awarded our prizes for the “Hunt For Hearts ” Contest. Participants hunted all around our buildings for hidden numbered hearts. Congratulations to Paul Goodyear for his First Place Standing. Paul collected over 300,000 points! Way to go Paul. In second place we had Beatrice Biederman with over 40,000 points as well. We also had our Guess The number of hearts in the jar winner, Doreen Lanthier! Congratulations to all of our prize winners and thank you to all who participated. Before our lovely gourmet dinner that night, we had a fun time in our Valentine’s Day Photo booth! We topped everything off with a wonderful musical concert by The “Sunshine Soul Band” in the evening! What a memorable day, from beginning to end!
We started a new February tradition here at the Waterford in honor of the month of love! Residents were asked to submit a wedding photo, photos were on display during our Valentine’s Day Tea with current photos of the residents also on display and Tea goers had to try to match the bride from Yesterday, to the person today! Congratulations to our two winners Barb Reynolds and Yolande Couture for successfully making the most matches! See below for a taste of what we saw!
