Waterford is the retirement residence where we lived for almost four years. Our reflection upon the many people we met at Waterford brings into being many fond memories. Everyone, from our dinner companions and neighbours to service providers; and, we must not forget Anne Marie and the reception staff, Adrian and the nursing staff; Mari and her marvellous voice; Vance the fantastic fixer- upper; and, of course Tracy, the ever-managing and diligent RR manager. And, what an amazing front line and behind the scenes dining and culinary crew!

As we all know, a certain amount of reserve can often accompany any move. We remember sharing stories and listening to stories shared by others as we all reflected on the decision to move into retirement residency. All tended to agree that it is a big decision to move from one's personal residence to a residency where meals and health care services and daily life are shared with close proximity. The experience of sharing space in a retirement residency atmosphere can be compared with the experience of sharing a wonderful meal with wonderfully caring people in a fine restaurant, and it is also a great deal more. That is, there is a sense of something more tightly knit. And, it is this very real sense of something quite secure that emerges from our reflections upon Waterford.

On behalf of the residents of The Waterford we want to express our appreciation for what you have accomplished in the last few years. The building you have built and the facilities you have provided are beyond what we as individuals could have foreseen or imagined.

During the festive season you brought more joy to our lives. The decorations, indoors and out, made us proud to live here. They were excellent and were also enjoyed very much by outsiders.

We just want to say thank you. My husband and I have had lunches at Waterford in the past. Terriffic food. The dining room is always beautiful.

But the real reason for our note is to compliment your staff. Wow! You have the best, friendly, caring, jovial staff. It is great to see and feel the true love and respect they hold for each person that lives and visits at The Waterford.

We noticed many of the faces are the same from the opening of The Waterford - this says a lot for your reputation.

Please pass these kind words onto your staff. They all deserve them.

Bless you all!
