PROGRAM FEATURES
One-On-One
Our certified caregivers get to know each resident based on their life story. This allows the caregiver to best respond to their wants, needs, routines and preferences. Regular communication between a family member and the caregiver allows loved ones to stay informed and involved in the resident’s care and day-to-day life.
Activation
Memory Care at The Waterford offers a full calendar of activities seven days a week recognizing that new interests can still be developed, enjoyed and appreciated. Life enriching activities designed to stimulate and engage residents in living life along with exercise programs, music, art and pet therapy are provided.
Home-Like Environment
Small by design, our memory care neighbourhoods encourage interaction and meaningful ‘family’ relationships between staff and residents. The neighbourhoods feature their own family room, activity area and family-style dining space. In Windsong, a beautiful country kitchen instills pleasant feelings of home where familiar sensations of fresh baked goods and home cooked meals fill the air.
Secure Location
Located on the ground floor of the Waterford, Windsong offers beautifully appointed suites with abundant views and spacious dedicated social areas.
The crown jewel of Windsong is the secure 4-season tropical atrium. Accessible year-round, this feature offers fresh air and lush gardens making every day a great day for a an open-air stroll.
FLOOR PLANS
Warm, spacious, and inviting, our memory care suites are fashioned with purpose and style. Unique features include location specific amber night lighting to identify key areas of the suite. Resilient hardwood flooring ensures a safe travelling environment. Window blinds and sheer drapery add comfort and privacy to the suite. Advanced emergency call system ensures constant peace of mind and rapid response. Accessible bathroom designs make daily routines easy and safe.
Suites may be available furnished but residents are encouraged to personalize their suite with familiar furnishings and mementos. While we launder towels and bed linens, they are provided by the resident to achieve that sense of home.
